Teamwork in every group project is essential, especially when constructing a bridge. In Week 1, the understanding of the overall assignment for the section was discussed and the dynamics of the course, and how a trust bridge works. However, the teamwork and individual responsibilities had not been discussed. It is very important to understand who is in charge of what part of the project and when it is supposed to be done.
In Week 2, establishing roles in the group must be completed. Roles should be determined on what skills each group member possesses along with the topic that most interests them. Once roles are established, organization is the key to staying on track and having a successful project. Our group must make sure to follow deadlines and meet in person and communicate in any way possible as much as we all possibly can. Communication not only helps to ensure that all tasks are being completed but that all ideas and viewpoints can be discussed to better the project.
No matter how much preparation is completed to facilitate smooth sailing for the group, problems are inevitable. When a problem arises, discussing the issue the second it occurs is the best option. Taking care of the issue once it occurs gives time to come with a solution without standing in the way of the progression of the project.
